As previously reported by the police and our portalHevesen, on Mikes Kelemen út on April 12, 2022 at around 1 p.m., a postal employee pushing his service bicycle was severely assaulted by a young local man.
The offender first took out the mobile device of the delivery person from the bag on the bicycle, who noticed this and tried to prevent it. His attacker then hit the postman, then reached into his shoulder bag and tried to take the cash inside. The delivery man also tried to prevent this, but the young man repeatedly hit him, then took a few thousand forints from the bag and ran away. The mail delivery man – whose glasses were blown off and broken by the attack – suffered serious injuries based on the primary medical opinion – the police reported official website.
As they write, the employees of the city police station identified and arrested the 22-year-old HS in the local Dankó Pista Street half an hour later, who was brought to the Heves Vármegyei Police Headquarters, where he is suspected of the crime of robbery and aggravated assault proceedings were initiated against him. The man, who denied committing the crime, was taken into custody by the detectives and a motion was made for his arrest, which was ordered by the court. The investigative authority carried out the necessary procedural actions during the investigation phase and forwarded the documents to the prosecutor’s office within days.
