Friday morning started with low-level stratus clouds or fog here and there. According to the forecast of the Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMÚ), slightly cloudy, summer weather (max. +27°C) is expected, but occasionally – in places in central Slovakia – cloudiness may increase and showers or even violent thunderstorms may occur.
WEATHER
The highest daytime warming is likely to be between +22 and +27°C – the daytime peak temperature is around +20°C in the Kiszuca and Árva regions and in the northern part of Szepesség. In the mountains at an altitude of 1500 m, the temperature will be around +13°C.
During the day, northerly winds (10-30 km/h) will blow, which may occasionally be accompanied by strong gusts (up to 50 km/h). In central Slovakia, there will mostly only be a light breeze. During thunderstorms, air movement temporarily picks up.
Expected amount of precipitation: up to 10 mm, excluding 10-35 mm in case of thunderstorms.
