As Origo previously wrote about, the first and last concert of the Black Train reunion, which took place in January 2023 at the Papp László Sportarena, was drowned in a huge scandal. The band, which performed together again after twenty years, broke up again almost immediately after the performance. Allegedly, there are financial reasons behind the dispute, Beat and LL Junior had several arguments about the matter, but after a long time, Mohamed Fatima also spoke.

I’m not angry with anyone and I still think that’s probably why I was able to come out of this healthy and happy, because I put the anger aside.

Because I realized that when people get angry, they don’t hurt the person they’re angry with, only themselves, and I wanted to avoid that,” the singer began.

“I think that every lesson is to our advantage and we learn from everything. I think this was the lesson of my life and I believe that what life takes away from us somehow returns it in a different way. And that’s exactly what I feel right now, that it’s coming back to me through music,” he said.

Decades of friendship were ruined because of the scandal. Fatima also revealed that she initiated the band’s breakup.

“I was the one who canceled the concerts after the big concert of the Black Train.

I didn’t want there to be a Black Train after that, I think we’ve put the dot on the i.

That concert surpassed everything for me and I really experienced it as the concert of my life. And they used to say that you have to stop at the top,” he explained.

The singer did not follow the example of LL Junior and Beat, did not get into an argument with anyone, instead she remained silent and concentrated on writing lyrics.

“I started writing my own songs, my own lyrics, so that helped me.

And the fact that I remained silent, so I didn’t get involved in this back and forth tossing and turning, because that specifically wouldn’t have belonged to the audience.

It belongs to them that we came back and sang again the songs we sang that year. It doesn’t matter whose path went where, where life took him.

I would also like to add that I would definitely like to help my shouting bandmate Beat in some way in the future.

If nothing else, to bring some good music together with him and revive the Black Train feeling of life together, these are big plans for me,” he said in Tények Plusz.
