However, they recently appeared together at an official event…

  • Prince Miklós and Princess Tatjána said their happy yes in 2010.
  • Until now, everyone believed that the marriage of the Greek princely couple was unbreakable.
  • Now, however, they have announced: they will continue on separate paths.

Prince Miklós of Greece married Princess Tatjana in August 2010 on a tiny Greek island, Spéces, in the Ayios Nikolaos Cathedral. The beautiful bride stood at the altar wearing a stunning pearl tiara borrowed from her mother-in-law, Queen Anne-Maria of Greece.

Both families supported the world-famous Freyg, and among the guests of the wedding were Princess Victoria of Sweden and Prince Daniel, the future King of Spain, Felipe and Queen Letizia, and the future King of the Netherlands, Vilmos Sándor and Queen Maxima. The happiness of the young couple was boundless. Recently, however, Miklós and Tatjána announced that they are preparing to divorce.

The royal family’s official statement on the matter has already been published, but the whole of Greece is puzzled by the news.

“Prince Miklós and Princess Tatjana have decided to dissolve their marriage after fourteen years of living together.

The decision was difficult for both of them, they continue to deeply respect and appreciate each other, as they have spent the past years together in great love. The same values, respect and acceptance form the basis of their relationship in the future as well, but already in the form of a deep and sincere friendship. They will continue to live and work in Greece, the place where they both feel at home. Their family stands by them in everything,” the announcement reads.

The announcement came just a few weeks after 54-year-old Prince Miklós and 43-year-old Princess Tatjána appeared in public arm in arm. On February 27, 2024, some members of the Greek and British royal families gathered for a service in St. George’s Chapel of Windsor Castle. By the way, this was the ceremony that Prince Vilmos canceled at the last moment – as it turned out afterwards – due to his wife’s cancer diagnosis.
