It’s been a tough few months for the royal family, but this week they’re celebrating a special family event.
The Welsh royal couple is celebrating Prince Louis’ sixth birthday – time flies!
The royal family’s schedule is quite busy as the royal family ramps up ahead of a busy spring/summer calendar.
This week, the following events will also take place in the life of the family:
Monday
The Duke of Edinburgh will visit Reading Rep Theatre, patron of which, and The Princess Royal, as Curator of the Council of St George’s House, will attend the Council meeting, annual performance and dinner at St George’s House, Windsor Castle.
Tuesday
Prince Louis, who was born on April 23, 2018, is celebrating his sixth birthday.
The Duchess of Edinburgh will carry out engagements in Bedford, including a visit to the Kings Arms Project – a charity which tackles homelessness, displacement and isolation in Bedford and beyond.
It will be another night of hospitality for Princess Anne as she hosts a dinner for her patronage, the Special Boat Service Association, at Windsor Castle.
Wednesday
Princess Sophie is on another busy schedule as she attends the Corporate Impact Awards in aid of the NSPCC at London’s BT Tower.
In addition, the Georgetown Institute of WomenPeace and Security (Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security) at a reception for the launch of the Women’s Peace and Security Index, and another time at the iconic Abbey Road studio, as a global ambassador for the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness.
Princess Anne will be in Shropshire during the day, including at Bradley Farm, where she will present the King’s Award for Voluntary Service.
The Duke of Edinburgh will also visit the National Army Museum in Chelsea, London.
Thursday
The Princess Royal will be in Cambridgeshire, including visiting the For North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust Hinchingbrooke Hospital Maternity Unitbh.
Friday
The Duchess of Edinburgh travels to Edinburgh where the Women of Scotland Lunch will be his guest and later attend a dinner at Edinburgh Castle as Colonel-in-Chief of Queen Alexandra’s Royal Army Nursing Corps.
Saturday
King Willem-Alexander will be 57 on April 27 – this day is known as King’s Day in the Netherlands.
