Big Little Lies is about to get even bigger, at least according to Oscar winner Nicole Kidman, who recently revealed that the fan favorite will return to the big screen starring Reese Witherspoon, Laura Dern, Zoe Kravitz and Shailene Woodley.
“My children were born and I thought about retiring. Then the idea for the series came and we did it with Reese. Then you loved it so much, we had a huge success with it. I loved Big Little Lies. And we’re going to bring you the third season too, just so you know.”
The series’ second season finale aired in July 2019.

The actor and his partner, Goldie Hawn, were never married, but perhaps they haven’t ruled out that they will tie their lives together one day.
By the way, the CEO of HBO, Casey Bloys, also confirmed the continuation.
“I think the thing about the series is that there’s a team that all really like working together, and they all belong to the crème de la crème of Hollywood. Reese, Nicole, Zoe, Laura and Shailene are all very busy, but it would be great if the gang got back together at some point.”
A third season was reportedly in the works until the unexpected death of executive producer and director Jean-Marc Vallée in December 2021. The cast then split up, but the star actresses have all expressed their desire to continue the series.
