IKEA hits back at Balenciaga with HUF 7,000 towels

The Swedish giant IKEA made a joke out of Balenciaga’s expensive towel.

As we reported, the Spanish luxury brand Balenciaga once again turned the fashion world upside down when it launched its towel that functions as a skirt. Of course, many questions arose about the unusual piece, such as whether who would wear a towel as a skirt and even more so, who would pay HUF 320,000 for all this. IKEA has now given a great answer to these questions, writes Bored Panda.

The Swedish furniture company uploaded a picture on its Instagram page

their model wears a very similar “towel skirt”, except that the price is not 320,000 HUF, but only 7,000 HUF.

The contrast between IKEA and Balenciaga is by no means new. In 2017, the Spanish fashion house sent the bags that they look very similar to the iconic blue IKEA shopping bag. At the time, they sold it for HUF 760,000, while the same bag on IKEA shelves costs HUF 400.
