Jon Bon Jovi he also confessed about his marriage in his latest interview. The heart of the rock star has been occupied for more than forty years. He married his high school sweetheart, Dorothea Hurley, back in 1989, so this year they are celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary.

A new documentary about the 62-year-old rock star and his band will be released, which Hungarians will be able to see on Disney+ from April 26. Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story is a four-part series that follows the history of the band, and of course fans can get a glimpse into the life of the frontman.
In connection with this, the musician gave an interview to The Independent, in which he also talked about his marriage. He considers himself lucky to have Dorothea as his companion, with whom he grew up. However, the woman had to tolerate a lot, in her 1993 ballad Bed Of Roses she lamented about her stumbles.
– We are talking about the wonderful clichés of rock stardom. This song is about never lying that we are saints, but also not being foolish enough to break up our family life, he confessed.
The lyrics originally read: “Now as you close your eyes / Know I’ll be thinking about you / While my mistress she calls me / To stand in her spotlight again / Tonight I won’t be alone / But you know that don ‘t mean I’m not lonely / I’ve got nothing to prove / For it’s you that I’d die to defend.”
In Hungarian it means: “Now that you close your eyes / Know that I’ll be thinking of you / As my lover calls me / To stand in the limelight again / Tonight I won’t be alone / But just so you know, that doesn’t mean I’m not lonely / I have nothing to prove / Because you’re the one I’d die to protect.”
Already in 2007, she spoke to Best Life magazine about how she was not always a perfect husband, the interview was also seen by People.
– I’ve been in one of the biggest rock bands in the world for 25 years and I’m not a saint, and I never was. I missed a lot of birthdays and school performances, he explained, adding that Dorothea knew what she was getting into by marrying him.
Their relationship is so strong because they grew up together and developed their personalities together. They have always enjoyed each other’s company, they love being together, all of this has not changed to this day.
