“It’s a very special and good feeling to return to the school where we filmed Neighbors for 13 years. Many things have changed, yet everything is familiar, and the strangest thing is that the trees have grown in the yard. I look back on those years very happily. I remember that the shootings were at the school on weekends, and the children who behaved well all week could be here. It was a reward that they could appear in the series. According to my role, I was a singing and drawing teacher, I usually had singing lessons, because Ádám Horváth was also very musical, he was interested in the subject. Jutka was a model teacher, model mother, model wife, I always shied away from this, because I was much more informal in life, I even told Ádám to write me something a little different, but he insisted that Jutka remain a real role model. In the end, it turned out that the audience’s love – precisely because I was such a positive character – remained better,” said Ilona Ivancsics, who lost 10 kilos, and we show her painting today in our gallery!
“What I’m still proud of is that Neighbors ended 24 years ago, and I’ve now reached the same weight as I was then. That’s a big word! During my difficult period, some excess crept up on me, the consequence of grieving was that I didn’t want to watch it in the mirror, that’s why I wanted to lose 10 kilos.
