The convertible season has started, these are now the favorites of Hungarian customers

--

By reviewing more than 25,000 convertible ads posted since 2023 and based on more than 120,000 phone inquiries, Használtautó.hu examined which convertibles were the most sought-after among those interested. The list is topped by the Peugeot 206, followed by the BMW 3 Series, the Renault Megane, the Mazda MX-5 and the Opel Astra.

Since the first quarter of 2023, on the whole, the phones have been picked up most often for models aged 11-20 (57.5%) and older than 20 (22%), but if we look at the differences between last year and this year’s first quarter, it should be highlighted that nearly twice as many people are interested in convertibles less than two years old, and both 3-5 and 6-10-year-old models are up in demand. And this can mean a difference of hundreds of phone calls, that is, a potential customer.

If we look at the average prices, over the past year, those interested have mostly searched in the price category of HUF 1-3 million (35%), HUF 3-7 million (19%), and HUF 500,000 to 1 million (14%) , just as it is definitely interesting that every 10th potential buyer was looking for a convertible over HUF 15 million – almost as many as in the lowest category, under HUF 500,000.

In line with the statistics for younger models, compared to the first quarter of 2023, demand increased in both the HUF 7-15 million and over HUF 15 million categories. According to the data of Használtautó.hu, interest in convertibles increases by leaps and bounds in the second quarter of every year, so it recommends that sellers upload their ads covering all details, complete with chassis number, service book and high-resolution photos around this time.
