Michelin Young Chef award winner Jani Mizsei, MÁK chef, replaces Michelin-starred chef Tamás Széll, who is leaving Lidl after 10 years, in the Lidl Kitchen. At the same time, the platform will also be supplemented with desserts, and in the future sweets lovers can be inspired by the gastro influencer Gréti Kapunics. The renewed ambassador team is also strengthened by Fanni Piskor, the company’s wine expert, and Adrienn Szabó, Lidl’s new dietetics expert.

Lidl launched the now iconic Lidl Kitchen 10 years ago, thanks to which customers were able to enrich themselves with numerous recipes, videos and chef tips from beginners to professionals. The department store chain also published 9 cookbooks, with which it treated its most loyal customers year after year. Now Michelin Young Chef awardee Jani Mizsei, chef of MÁK Restaurant, is replacing Lidl’s chef, Michelin-starred Tamás Széll. The renewed Lidl Kitchen will also be supplemented with desserts, in which the gastro-influencer, Kapunics Gréti, will help those who love sweets.

“A defining era has now come to an end, but at the same time we are sailing into new waters. We are extremely grateful to Tamás for the past 10 years, as we and our customers owe a lot to him, and we wish him success in his new challenges! And the renewing corporate ambassador team, in addition to bringing youthful, dynamic energy, will continue to help our customers with high-level expertise and the representation of quality products, as well as by strengthening conscious shopping. We believe in the joy of cooking at home and in health-conscious nutrition, and we want to support our customers in this as well in the future,” emphasized Judit Tőzsér, Lidl’s corporate communications manager.

One of the most talented chefs, Jani Mizsei, the chef of the MÁK Restaurant, has several prestigious awards. During the preparations of the renewed Lidl Kitchen, he threw himself into the joint work with great enthusiasm and his expertise was present from the first minute. Her recipes and dishes are characterized by youthful vigor, closeness to people and a progressive approach, and in the kitchen, fun and humor are guaranteed to make cooking a real experience. In the future, Jani’s recipes will be available under Lidl Recipes, and in addition to seasonality – in response to the fast-paced everyday life and consumer needs – dishes that can be prepared quickly and easily will come to the fore.

The videos of Lidl Desserts are made with gastro influencer Gréti Kapunics, who may be known by the name Dolce far niente among social media users. Gréti is passionate about baking, as a little girl she learned the ins and outs of homemade cookies from her grandmother, and then she continued to delve deeper into the tricks of confectionery. Since then, baking has been her favorite hobby and she fills all her free time with it in addition to her full-time job. Like Jani, with her youth and dynamism, she represents a new kind of color in the life of Lidl, and her desserts are easy to prepare and seasonal ingredients, such as fruits, are also highly emphasized. Gréti knows the various trends and will make special preparations for holidays and special occasions (Christmas, Easter, Halloween, etc.).

Lidl’s wine expert ambassador is Fanni Piskor, whom customers of the supermarket chain have been able to meet in recent months. As a viticulturist and oenologist, the specialist has been working with wines for more than 10 years and is constantly improving his knowledge, in addition to being a lecturer at the University of Pécs and the Wine College, he is also active on the other side of the department. He also regularly judges at domestic and international wine competitions. Fanni’s goal is to show what is worth knowing about the wines available in Lidl, and from time to time she also helps with various tips so that everyone can easily adjust to the world of wine.

Last but not least, Lidl’s team of brand ambassadors is strengthened by dietitian Adrienn Szabó, who works full-time at the Surgery, Transplantation and Gastroenterology Clinic of Semmelweiss University, teaches at Semmelweiss University, regularly gives lectures at professional conferences and is an active social media player under the name diet_eticus. With the arrival of Adrienn, the company’s goal is to be able to provide authentic information to its customers and support them in health-conscious and sustainable nutrition, in addition to drawing attention to such important topics as the prevention of food waste.
