After nearly half a year of waiting, Tesla finally presented the Model 3 Performance version, which received its price tag in Hungary as well.
Tesla just reduced the price of the Model 3 over the weekend, and we already wrote that the Texas-based company could present a more powerful version of the Model 3 almost any day. Well, we were right, as the Performance Model 3 was added to Tesla’s online configurator in the afternoon.
The name has not changed, but the knowledge and the use of materials have. The all-new, high-performance drive units together produce more than 500 horsepower and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.1 seconds. Additionally, the redesigned front and rear fascias, rear diffuser and carbon fiber spoiler, available exclusively on the Model 3 Performance edition, provide a unique look and together optimize stability at high speeds.
The Tesla Model 3 Performance received a brand new adaptive damping controlled by in-house software, which guarantees even greater comfort and even better usability. Furthermore, the Track mode has been improved, which is already at the V3 version and gives the driver even richer control with a brand new calibration of the drive chain and adaptive suspension. In addition, handling balance, stability control and regenerative braking can be customized. The uniquely designed Performance chassis and suspension hardware are tuned to respond intuitively and precisely to the driver’s movements.
What is perhaps most important is that Tesla has redesigned the seats, so with the brand new seat shape and improved side and rear support cushions, driving is even more comfortable even at a sportier pace. Ventilation is also essential here.
In addition, 20″ forged Performance Warp rims provide sharper cornering response, greater predictability, better grip when exiting corners, and optimized aerodynamics. The brakes have also been modified by Tesla, and the improved pedal feel and improved thermal management ensure consistent braking at all speeds and in a wider temperature range.
