Zoltán Török from Raiffeisen and Dávid Németh from K&H were the guests of this week’s broadcast of the Téma podcast, who reviewed the situation of the Hungarian economy with host Gergely Brückner.

It was discussed why the government was surprised by a budget deficit that was much larger than expected, what could trigger growth-stimulating consumption, and why it is not worth expecting that inflation will drop to 3 percent in the near future.

Among other things, the broadcast also mentions that

  • why we can expect the labor market deficit to decrease in the coming years;
  • can the state really help to make a company successful on international markets, and can the government’s “investment” plan achieve its goal;
  • what positive effects can it have if the state buys out Liszt Ferenc International Airport;
  • and whether it would be worth it in the long run to build so many battery factories in Hungary.

This was the last broadcast of Téma until the beginning of the summer, we will be back with another podcast in June. In addition to Telex’s own player, past and future broadcasts of the Topic can be found on the YouTube, Spotify, Apple and Google Podcast channels of the Telex Podcast.
